Snow pictures

Snow days

We are snowed in for the second day in a row. Logan doesn't seem to mind the extra days at home, but she did express some concern this morning that she wasn't going to learn everything about the Mayans since she was missing school. I love her preschool.

Playing in the snow has been such a blast. We made a fort under a pine tree that was so covered in snow all the branches were bent down towards the ground. It created a teepee of sorts. Logan has made snow angels for the whole family. We have thrown snow balls at the dogs - they like it. We also shoveled, but only a little bit. We are trying to keep the snow work to a minimum. It looks like there will be plenty of broken branches to clean up after the snow melts. Our neighbor, Snug, measured the snow at 18 inches last night and it is still coming down. Gotta love Colorado.

We will post some pictures later today.

Funny but gross video

Dave decided to get a digital camcorder shortly after the twins were born. This was the first video he shot with his new camera. He just happened to capture the first time Ellie pooped on her mom! Watch only if you have a good sense of humor. ;o)

Logan with her sisters

Logan has really grown into the role of big sister. She can even hold her sisters with little assistance. The top photo is Logan holding Ellie and the bottom one is her holding Molly. Both photos were taken on the 19th of October.

Home at last

Wow. We have been home with the girls for over a week now. What a transition for all of us. All in all, I think that we have adjusted pretty well. Now if we can only figure out how to get enough sleep...

Molly and Ellie were seen by their pediatrician last week and they have continued to thrive after the discharge from the hospital. They are doing so well that they do not need to be seen again until the "normal" two-month check up. It seems so odd to go from round the clock care for several weeks to a normal check-up schedule.

Logan has continued to grow into the role of big sister. She is so wonderful! She holds her sisters at every opportunity to do so. Logan has also discovered that she has baby dolls that have clothes that are bigger than what her sisters wear. She thinks that is pretty neat. Our plan has been to donate all the preemie clothes to the NICU when the girls outgrow them, but maybe we will keep an outfit or two for Logan to use with her dolls. ;o)

Our big goal for today is to get the girls out for a walk in this wonderful fall weather we are having. This will be their first outdoor adventure. Wish us luck!
